How You Can Use the Plurals

Hello, dearest people!

I’m going to share with you onย how YOU can use (or spot ๐Ÿ˜‡) the plurals in Arabic. It’s something that I have found very useful throughout my journey of learning and understanding Arabic and I would like you guys to be able to benefit from this as how I had found it a blessing to be able to figure out how the rules actually work. Indeed, learning Arabic is actually very easy!!

And indeed, We have made the Quran easy to understand and remember

(Surah Al-Qamar; 17)

(Yes I’m finally sweeping all the clouds of dust I have left last time ๐ŸŒช. I’m still working on my planning for my posts and videos. Meanwhile, please bear with me, my faithful audiences ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿ’ป)

Below will be the breakdown of this (easy!) topic, so let’s get started!

  1. Genders in the Arabic language
  2. Identifying the genders
  3. Changing the words to plural form (and examples!!)

Genders in the Arabic language

Just like in a lot of other languages (e.g. German), Arabic also has its genders allocated to objects, people, any living creatures and basically all the Arabic nouns. It has only two genders which are;

  1. Masculine; and
  2. Feminine

Identifying the genders

I will use 6 words in this post for you to see how we can make use of the plurals, which are in the picture below;

There are easy ways that you can identify the genders in Arabic. This picture is above is basically all referringย to the masculine gender.

In order for you to identify the feminine is to take notice that there will be an addition of the letter ุฉ, which I will demonstrate in the picture below.

Now that you can spot the difference between the gender in the words, the following will be on changing all the singular form above to plural!

Singular โžก๏ธ Plural (with examples)

The gender plays a role (and makes a huge difference) in the plural form because;

  1. In the masculine form, you will either add;
  • ูˆู†; or
  • ูŠู†

at the back of the word.

2. In the feminine form, you will need to;

  • remove the ุฉย and add ุงุชย at the back of the word
